Highart Reel is a film production company based in Seattle. Our founding mission and passion is the creation of beautiful films of the beautiful game. In early 2012, inspired by the feature film, Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait, our crew made a 12-minute short of the Seattle Sounders Women Opening Day, a semi-pro dream team featuring United States Women’s National Team stars Megan Rapinoe, Alex Morgan, Hope Solo, and Sydney Leroux. This experimental short film of a single match was cut into thematic, stylized chapters featuring an original soundtrack by Zadok Wartes. Shot with a team of camera operators directed by John Harrison (DP of the Oscar nominated short film Kavi). And edited by Alex Houseknecht.

Highart Reel has since produced work of the other football, specifically the 2012/2013 Seattle Seahawks TV campaign, photography and music for the Sounders’ film “American Football” (produced by Levy Films), and corporate short films as well. The work informs the greater hope of one day producing a feature film about the Women’s National Teams of the world.
